Lauri Kubuitsile is a full time, award-winning writer living in Botswana. She was born in Baltimore Maryland but moved to Botswana where she met her husband and is now a citizen. Lauri has written several books and won or been shortlisted for numerous awards. She twice won Africa’s premier prize for children’s writing, The Golden Baobab. She also won the creative writing prize sponsored by Botswana’s Department of Youth and Culture. In 2011, she was shortlisted for Africa’s most prestigious short story prize, The Caine Prize. She writes for adults, teens and children. The first book in her Kate Gomolemo Mysteries series, The Fatal Payout, is a prescribed book in Botswana and read by all junior secondary school children.
Tendai Huchu’s first novel, The Hairdresser of Harare, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim, and has been translated into German, French, Italian and Spanish. His short fiction in multiple genres and nonfiction have appeared in The Manchester Review, Omenana, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, Gutter, Interzone, AfroSF, Wasafiri, Warscapes, The Africa Report and elsewhere. In 2013 he received a Hawthornden Fellowship and a Sacatar Fellowship. He was shortlisted for the 2014 Caine Prize. His new novel is The Maestro, The Magistrate & The Mathematician.
Titilayo Oyinsan, popularly referred to as “Tee Eye Tee Eye”, is an alumni of the University of Lagos and an On-Air Personality (OAP) with the No.1 family radio stations in Nigeria, Inspiration 92.3FM. A selfless Nigerian with a passion for helping less privileged street girls, Titi is the founder of I Am Dynamite Network – a network of givers. She is also the for of Naija Women in Business – a not-for-profit organization designed to empower female entrepreneurs. Titilayo also serves as the COO of Amber 11 Media Limited. A recipient of several awards, Titlayo served as Miss Lagos 2007, representing her state in The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She is considered a Nigerian super-model, having modeled for almost 8 years in Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana being the face of several major brands. Titi is joyfully married to one of Nigeria’s most respected media entrepreneurs, Gbemileke Oscar Oyinsan. She is blessed with a lovely set of twins, Amber and Ruby.
